What kind of Cable, phone, and internet service do you have?

My dads paying over $60 for some basic bullshit comcast cable with 55 channles, and about $55 for the phone we hardly use. I have 56 dial up internet which i hate, anybody know a good alterneatice to any/all of this shit? he was going to have a dish but they came out and said the neighbors trees blocked the signal....:bored:
 
i have comcast digital/hd/dvr for the TV, comcast high speed internet, and vonage for the phone. i pay $100 for the tv an internet combined, and $30 for the phone.
 
DirecTV - ~ $100
Comcast - Voice / Data - ~ 100
Verizon Cell - $160 - $250 (I'm getting fucked!)

I was one of the early people who switched from the local phone company to Comcast.. BIG mistake. Comcast is horrible, although when it does work it works well.

Comcast phone,internet,basic,and premuim channels.. HBO,SHOWTIME,TMC, and have a DVR box also..
 
WE've got WOW Basic cable, Highest speed internet they offer for ~$70 I'm going to Add the phone and upgrade to digital and they told me ~119 a month
 
Job pays for first $75 of the cell (Sprint) - only costs me about $10/month
Apt. complex forces us to use Brighthouse Cable - costs me about $75/mo. for cable & cable modem IIRC
Don't have a hard line phone
 
$100 Satellite internet= CRAP, but better than dial up
$49 DISH Network basic.= never any problems.
$20 Phone company boneheads for basic phone.

I get fucked out here.
 
So what is up with this WOW company? anybody got some info or # so i can maybe see if its available in my area..they seem ti have some good rates
 
I have Directv for tv- $100 for all the premium channels and a DVR. I dont like it. Everytime it rains it goes out.

SBC for phone and DSL - $75.00 I never use the phone but it was cheaper to get both. DSL is fast enough.

Verizon cell - 80.00

If im not mistaken doesnt DSL run through the phone line? how does that work? doesnt it allow the phone to still work? that has always confused me.....and just how fast can you download with dsl?

Yes the DSL runs through the phone lines. It has no effect on the phones.

THe fastest I see when I DL is about 385 kb/sec.

your sat is not aimed correctly then, i have had my dish go out 5 times in 7 years, i have 99% signal strength
