Been real real busy last few months with side work. Almost to the point I have been considering the jump to opening a shop. Just thought I would share a few Before, during, and after pics of some of my latest jobs.

2005 F250 RCSB, I pretty much fell in love with this truck during this job, I love this thing, Some tasteful mods, and the power to back up the looks.

00Sonolow's '99 Xtreme, THis thing is nearing completion soon and is looking killer, We went with a single stage black on this project since he is very particular on how he keeps his paint and I am glad we did. The single stage definitly has an added depth you just don't get out of a base/clear job imo.

Before pics, This is how he bought the truck

During: Camera phone was being pretty lame during this time period and not focusing very well

If anyone has anything they are looking to get painted I am offering special pricing for anything that is not black  I gettin kind of sick of looking at the same color all damn day lol

Looks good man!! Ever try capping the single stage with 1 wet coat of clear? It looks even better

The ford truck is sweet! If I remember correctly is seen this truck a few years back on Woodward and it had lots of the sound of a huge turbo coming from it. Same truck? Details?

X2 my buddy is a painter and swears by this method. He has painted damn near all his hot rods black with this method since high school too.

Bad ass work BTW. Wish i could do paint and body work.

Nice work!

Thank you sir!

No, I have never tried that, and to be absolutly honest I never even heard of it. Let the SS cure and then clear it or clear it as a final wet coat over the SS

That SD looks AWESOME!!! Did you paint the wheels also?

The wheels I did not paint, He has a good family friend that owns an industrial sand blasting/painting shop in town that did them for him for next to nothing, I wanted to do them for him but it wasn't worth my time for how cheap he got them done.

yea, whats the story on the ford. looks real good now

I will have to check with him again but as I can rember it has a 03 turbo, exhaust, SCT tune and a few small other things I believe its a real fun truck.

No you don't, This shit sucks  way too much damn work. And on top of it I do all this painting all the time and I drive a sonoma with half done body work and primer on it casue I don't ever have time to paint it for myself. Thanks tho, And I am definitly gonna try this method out on something soon

Clear it as a final wet coat, allow the SS to flash as if you were gonna give it a 3rd coat. You will love it

But just a warning, don't get clear happy and put 2-3 heavy coats on

Nope actually helps, when you wet sand SS obviously you lose pigment, just bury any small dirt particles in the clear and polish - shit will look like a marble, you can do this with any black/white/red etc. This is also a technique for blending SS ;) but I have to keep some secrets to myself

I hear you. I used to wrench as a profession....my cars were the worst maintained cars...lol I wouldn't want to paint as a living, but as a DIY thing cuz i love doing all my own work. Try the clear over SS, it looks miles deep and makes simple chips easier to repair. When we graduated High School, he welded quarter panels on a 77 F-100 bed. Painted this method black just to show his welding/body skills (dude makes me sick). Even now, the truck is a yard dog on his hunting property, if you polish it up it still looks miles deep. We graduated 16 years ago!

Good luck and keep up the killer work.

B-e-a-utiful work! I'll be calling you when I'm ready for "Big Boy" paint.

I'll be here lol. Maybe by then I'll have myself a real shop for you to bring it too.

I absorb every piece of information I get from you like a sponge.. I would love to have the knowledge that you do about this stuff, I'm still a greenhorn in the game tho haha.

You can lay down some paint, that's for sure. Can't wait to see the Xtreme completed, I love S-Series trucks.
