I am finishing my wet kit, i have heard its not safe to use Teflon tape, so do i just use the liquid plumbing stuff for gas lines?
thanks
ryan
I use the green natural gas stuff.. The white stuff works too even then becarefull not to get it inside the tube, jet, solenoid, or line. I've seens peiople cake some much of that stuff on I thought it was being used to hold the stuff together.
Just so you know, all AN lines should NOT have any type of sealant on them. The seal is at the flare, not the threads. The only thing you should have pipe sealer or teflon on is NPT threads... and even then, its not safe to use because it can clog whatever line you are sealing. Use sealer sparringly and dont over do it. Too much and it will goop into your line.
I used a 1/8 pipe compression fitting in the solenoid and some brake line
teflon paste on npt
an doesn't use anything
AND can anyone recommend what RPM i should have my window switch shut the nitrous off at? i was thinking 5800 or 5900 since i put my rev limiter at 6,000. ?
