what 351w Dist?

If you dont want to go MSD any Ford reman distributor for 351 should work like for 1979 Bronco. As far as gear always check with cam manufacter because I was told always to use a bronze gear with a solid roller however my current cam is solid roller and comp told me to leave the gear that came on the new MSD distributor for my BB. I used the MSD billet part no 85840 which includes steel gear for hydraulic roller cam for my windsor.

Yup, what he said. I'd personally go with a factory rebuilt 351 dizzy, no sense in spending the extra money for a MSD piece. I'm actually pretty unhappy with MSD, although replacing failed MSD parts does pay the bills :)
 
What year 351 ? If It Is a non roller 351....go with a 84-85 bronco 5.8 H.O carbed vehicle and you will be fine. I have one In my 89 351 and It worked great.
