With all the gun threads up nowadays I kind of figured I'd tell you guys about the experience I had this past week.
My girlfriend is training a gun shop's protection dog (who business name will remain unmentioned) and was given the opportunity to take her CPL/CCW class through them. She recieved her NRA certificate last weekend and will be filing for her CPL sometime soon....
Anyways, the owner of the shop offered to take her and some friends shooting so we all went to the "Hunts with Double" range over on 23 mile and Schoenerr on Tuesday. AWESOME range which allows fully automatic guns and everything. I started out and shot a Beretta 9mm (not sure what model) and was impressed with how light the recoil was! Mind you that I've shot 12ga. shotguns during duck hunting but I thought a pistol would have some kick to it....
Other guns shot over the period of the night were:
.45 Glock 30 <-----My favorite so far!
9mm Glock 26 (WAY too small for my liking, but I think my g/f might be getting it)
AR-15 rifle
I probably went through 8-10 clips total, so I feel I got some decent shooting time in. I was shooting nice groups at 15-20 feet but would still like to improve.
