Wanting to stroke my 4.6 in my 04 gt?

What teksid block would I be looking for 93-98 mark8 or the 96-98 cobra? Or could I just use the wap block...any differences between the 2 except where they were made? My buddy owns a junk yard in new boston and im gonna call him tomorrow and see if he can locate 1.

MMR?!?1 er...no thanks.. Too many past issues. I'd go to D.S.S before I'd go to them. But then again.....i'd rather build the engine myself than hire someone......then I know whats in it and what it can or cant handle.....

The teksid is the same for all mark and cobra. The wap block is rated for 500 I think.

X2. Modmax has cheaper prices as for parts. Ive had some trouble ordering through mmr in the past.

yeah...I saw three motors with bad oil pressure issues and after teardown...caps were torqued all over the place. They may have corrected that issue...

Yes i have read about some mmr issues but more positive than negative.....i will have to check out dss....

I think I've heard a WAP block is good for a reliable 700 HP. I kind of lose track as it has been a while and I don't really care because I know how easy it is to just get a Teksid block and not worry about it at all.

I'd use an '03 and up WAP block.....To me, the Teksid block came into it's "legend status" at a time no other blocks where available.......If you compare the two side/side, one could see how thin the walls are around the pan rail.....Mexican 302 Block comes to mind when I hear Teksid..... They both suffer from thin and weak ass sleeves....Throw some Darton sleeves in a '03 WAP block and go to town......I know this option is expensive......

Thanks for the link! Jumped on this one...picking it up in the morning.....he said it had some metal shavings in it....does that sound bad?
Here is another, way cheap. Go buy this!! http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/pts/4079589344.html

Picked up the teksid block, 1 step closer, who would I take it to now to have it cleaned up/checked out? Or should I wait till I get whatever forged internals im gonna use...Any suggestions?
