It's always a tough shoot out with the "greats". :) I'd have to go with Eddy for the range too.

But my list also includes Page, SRV, Satriani, KWS, Bo, B.B., Clapton and some others. :D

Eric Clapton has to be in the top 5. Jeff Beck is playing in Detroit tomorrow- wish I could tickets for that show.

Ahhhh, back in the day....seenthem more than once on tour :)

Why is it that when the "guitar greats" discussions happen, no one ever mentions David Gilmour? In my book, he is right there with the best of them. I really like classic Floyd and Zeppelin. You can feel the heavy blues influence in their music.

Thats true, but then again, there are another 90 guys that can rip the shit out of a guitar. I forgot hendrix to my list.
 
The one and only king: Jimmy Hendrix. No one could bend a note to make it fit like him. And to do it while stoned out of his gord too!:icon_mrgr
 
its so hard to decide this because of the many genres of music, but personaly mine is "dimebag" Darrell Abbott, and only one Hendrix vote geeeeeesh
 
Id say Jimmy Page is one of the greats of ALL time!..


another i didnt see mentioned is Yngwie Malmsteen.....BAD ASSS guitar player!!!! This guy some some craaaaaaazy stuff!
