wut it fits like the clamps to big and it doesnt make the pipes fit tight and ur scared it wont seal and it will leak

i know there are plenty of guys here that have used these when fabbing, what does yours look like? any other input?

Some gap is normal. The flange is tappered and so is the clamp. It is supposed to wedge together. I would just try a new clamp. Or you can take a hammer and pound the gap in the clamp down to make it bite the flange tighter. Could just be sloppy tolerances on the flanges and clamps cuasing the problem.

take a hammer and close down the inner portion of the clamp a bit. You can just get new clamps in that size. They do make them for different flange thickness's.

looks just like my HP Kit...

what part of it? the clamping issue? or the design/headers all together?

Its a copy cat of hp's kit from what iver herd, but for a lot less. an ebay kit. i am modifying parts of it to fit tho. Already cut apart the 4v flanges and rebuilt them for 2v flanges.

and all this talk about cheap 304ss kits cracking and breaking i am wondering if i should have my welder re weld all the original spots. its got me concerned now..

i also think if my total OD of the flange is smaller than the normal ones, or the one pictured for comparison then why wouldnt a 2.25" clamp work?

it might. They also offer those flange clamps for various thickness of flanges.

what do you mean?

The flanges come in different thickness's. Dpeneds on the manufacturer. Some are thinner some are thicker. If you have a supplier job shopping the shit out of material costs buying flanges here and clamps there. You could run into fitment issues. When you get back in town measure the thickness of the flanges when put together. You can scan the catalog and find a part # that will fit those flanges pairs. My bet is that one company made the flange and another company made the clamp. Thats why it doesn't fit.

What about the material the tubing is made of??? I think it's that cheap SS stuff also....

I think this might be 99% of the problem. Sometimes the big hammer to make it fit method isn't the best.

I guess i wrote that wrong. IM just modifying the location of the wastegates.

The kit fits fine, its just a weird vband clamp thing, i think there us also a clamp out there that will work, i know aeromotive IIRC made a clamp/flange kit that was smaller like mine.

So there really isnt no big hammer to make it fit. it fits a mod motor fine, it made for a mod motor. ive just changed flanges for a 2v.
