Varsity Ford and DST Industries collaborated on a "U of M" tailgate edition F-150. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these vehicles will go to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. DST is working on the official licensing and want to expand it to the Lions and even an MSU version. The F-150 had a large graphics package for visual effect, but they are going to do more subtle versions.

I was also interviewed on 97.1 The Ticket and Ann Arbor's Sports Talk 1050 AM WTKA. I was given the royal treatment from the U of M staff. They took me into the IMG suite, the press box, through the tunnel and on to the field. I have never been a huge college football fan, but today changed that. I was amazed watching the players run on to the field. Watching them practice from the sidelines. Those guys are HUGE!!! I met Desmond Howard and Frank Beckmann also. Sometimes this job doesn't suck :)

How cool! I worked for DST for 4 years, it's very fun the things you get to do sometimes with that company, and the situations you can get into. I spent about half of those 4 years on the road doing shows for them. I know the kinda treatment you got, and i'm jelous.

looked like fun!!!....as for the graphics, i'll bet 95% of the UM zealots would love that truck as is.......

Might be lending them a F-150 for the Ohio St. game. I'll know later today. I told them before the truck comes back here it MUST be de-badged or they will burn it on our lot

back in '82, when i worked at friendly ford (in monroe, mi.),i had a new mustang gt for a demo. my buddy had tickets to the osu/um game. (2) problems. (1) i had to drive. (2) the game was in c-bus. there was no way in hell that i was going to drive a new gt, with a michigan plate on it, down to c-bus for that game. that's what we like to call a "career decision"...............;)

I can't stand college sports, zero interest.... But walking through the tunnel on to that field is pretty fucking cool, that place is HUGE.
We walked on top of the new suites too, I thought That was nuts.... Till I saw the guy on top of that new scoreboard/tv thing. Fuuuuuuuuuck that.

Saw the truck at the dealer this morning, looks pretty cool.

Drag racin' the old demo eh?

hell, it was their idea. notice the stickers all over it.....?

Rear wiper, TRX wheels, single side dual exhaust.....BAD ASS!

it was a really cool car.....well, for it's time. it was ford's first foray back into performance since '73. we picked it up on saturday, right after service prepped it. by the time we hit laplaissance rd., it was gear jammin' time.......

did i mention i won the overall e.t. eliminator class (bracket-buster) with it?....notice the class champ windbreaker?...still have it...
