I have to agree with Cheese here.
Did your cam guy recommend a spring?
Do you have a part number for the cam (if its a shelf cam)?
you really need to get the springs right with a FT cam. Too much, and you eat lobes. Not enough, and you beat the seats and valves up at the least.
Oh, and make sure they are set up properly. Meaning the correct installed height, seat pressure, etc. It wouldn't hurt you to invest in a spring tester (one that can be used with the head on the engine and the springs installed), this way you can verify what they (whom ever installed them) told you. You can get one of them for under $100.
