Engine must be sealed complete. No breathers, no oil dipstick tube, no cheap THIN sheet metal covers, ect. If your adding a vaccume pump to a engine that was built without that in mind, your not gonna notice much at all. You have to prep your pistons/rings, specific ring thickness, and specific ring material differently, in order to take advantage and notice any real gains with a vaccume pump. If you didn't have the engine built with all this taken into account, just put a $60 crankcase evac. kit on from Moroso. It will deffinitly help.
