U of M's weak ass schedule

Anyone else kinda pissed that U of M plays too many weak ass teams that won't even be worth watching?
Look at a comparison:
10 Mich vs Central Mich
or watch
1 Ohio State (who i hate) vs 2 Texas

I understand they want to win but too many fluff games!!!

It's not weak, it's just weak at home. Look at our away games. Besides. Even a weak schedule is a challenge for Lloyd Carr.

The good teams are stepping up and playing the other good teams. The way the BCS works, you have to play good teams and win to get into the good bowls. It look slike Michigan hasn't figured that out yet relative to their schedule.

Exactly a undefeated record is not the way to a National Championship any more "TO BE THE BEST YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE BEST"!!!!!!
Wise up U of M and play so good non conference teams then the $50 you charge for a shitty overcramped bench seat may become worth it!!

Where are you finding tickets for $50? LOL My season tickets cost me 75 a piece on average. Of course, my tickets are at the 50 yard line and close.

Compare the number of ranked teams that MIchigan will have played by the end of the season to the number of ranked teams that these other "good" teams will play and it will be close if not more. Every team has a weak schedule every now and then. It's just how it works sometimes. Michigan is playing the number 1 , 5, and 19 teams. I'm almost willing to bet that either Minnesota or Wisoconsin will see top 25 rankings this season as well if not both of them. Let's compare that to Texas. Ranked teams that they will play: 1, 10, 21, and 24. So Texas plays the same number of top 10 ranked teams as U of M. They play 2 teams that are ranked 20 or below where as U of M plays one between 10 and 20. I will almost bet once again that by the time Texas plays Nebraska, they won't be ranked any more. Now look at USC: They play 21, 20, 23, and 5. So there's no comparison in difficulty in schedule here at all. To say that Michigan doesn't have nearly as tough of a schedule is futile.

If they were serious about being National champs, they should pitch Vanderbilt and Central and play some Pac 10 or SEC teams. The problem is, every time they do that, they get their asses kicked. Not playing any tough teams out of their own conference makes them weaker too. They had FSU up here in the pre-season once, what happened with that? Winning that game would give them TONS of credibility going into Notre Dame and the Big 10 season. It looks like they would rather play a some easy marks, though.

Have you seen Texas' schedule? Talk about easy marks. Most of the teams they play are barely able to beat high school teams let a lone a number 2 ranked division 1 team. Look at Miami's schedule. Out side of their conference there's no real games unless the team is ranked. It's no different than MIchigan. Michigan's schedule is the same caliber as any other ranked team.

All I know is Ohio State has something for that U of M ass. I like U of M, but the buckeyes are gonna whoop that ass.

if you go by past tendencies, OSU better watch out. Whoever tends to be ranked high at the beginning of the season between the two teams end up losing.
