Typhoon Airtex Pump

Anyone ever use the Airtex fuel pump for a GMC 4.3 sy/ty? Looking for an easily obtainable pump that can support 450Whp off a parts store shelf with a good solid warranty and it appears those are made to handle atleast 300hp in stock trim for the Typhoon that meet all requirements.

Some say it's very comparable to the 255lph walbro... I just had bad luck with walbro's.

I would hope not any worse than the walbro I have now. It sounds like it's going to implode with how loud it is. It use to start out doing it when about 1/4 tank, now it's loud even when full. Going to try the airtex if I can find out if the flow rate is true compared to the 255. I'd like a 340, but no one locally stocks them on hand and nothing sucks more than having a car sit out of commission on a nice cruise night due to a warrantied out part that has a EST of 14 days.

Is Kinsler still around? They build a good product, and I think they were in Troy. Never had any issue with mine you should look at them.

I was looking for a stock fuel pump for my 2001 Blazer. Everything I read about airtex was garbage. They all died within a few months on stock vehicles, some within a few days.

It ended up not even matching oem, so returned it went.

I might try the 340, but i hate shipping.

Reiko got me a delco OE pump for my astro for great $$

But I am interested in the route you go with more HP in mind....
