We oughta get a few cars together to rent a car hauler, it'd prob be pretty cheap if we shipped 4-5 cars down and back

I'll never go again. My friends back half twin turbo LS camaro got impounded and crushed the same week. They said "You got 1 hour to get whatever you can off the car, then its history". You'd be surprised just how fast you and a few friends can strip a car in 60 minutes lol!! We rolled down with about 4 other goose neck enclosed's and all got stung, unfortunately the camaro was outa the trailer running and had just done it's burnout. Nice 25.5 car turned into a paper weight.

Nothing major for the trucks/trailers that had our cars inside.... Just bull shit tickets. Our 2000 camaro was out on the street as we were prepping it to get ready to run. Cops came out of EVERYWHERE! Street racing is apparently a class B felony in Texas.

Street Racing is not a felony. It's a class B misdemeanor (unless youre drunk at the time or hurt someone while racing)

Texas does not have seizure and forfeiture laws for drag racing.

Where were you when this supossed seizure happened? Where was the car crushed at?

The TX Supra meets are usually hosted in and around Harris County (where I live). I've never heard of anything like this happening to anyone here.

This was about 4 years ago. I wasn't sure exactly on what it was defined by as law, I thought it was a felony. My fault. But as far as this SUPPOSED car seizure and crushing, if you don't think it happened I'd be more then glad to put you in touch with him. He's got all paper work, tickets, lawyers paperwork, court, pictures, ect. We stripped what we could in an impound lot and were told to leave. We paid our fines and left to head back north (Michigan). He stayed a day or so longer before I left back to his home state.

And he WAS being charged with a felony.

Also it was not at the Supra meet, again that was my fault. Its during a week long street racing event.

seems this violates due process.

It would seem so...... But when has that ever not been broken before. I don't know all the legalities of it, but I do know the end result. We came back up to Michigan with almost every removable part from his car we could get out in the trailer. The car never followed, when he moved up to Michigan we gave him his stuff and he sold it all to recoup money.

Crazy, Seems like it'd be hard to be charged for Drag racing When you were prepping the car and not drag racing

The post is supposed to mean we were finishing up prepping the street when cops showed up. There was smoke from the burnouts and us out there with Track Bite and torches. The cars were getting lined up in there rubber paths. If the cops waited 1 minute longer the cars woulda already been gone.

weve been thinking about that

but to rent a 5 person car hauler is like 2-3 grand or so..plus gas for a 2200 mile trip wont be cheap i think we ballparked it to be around 6000 just to get the cars down there and back not including hotel food gas for the cars themselves hotels whatever we break, etc etc. unless you have some hook ups we have a truck driver that already said hed drive

That looks badass Matt! When is this meet held usually?

its around march

How many times did you lose the room key in 3 days, 11? ha! Decent vid, but it really doesn't even do the fast cars justice. Was a fun time, and I'm fine with just watching everyone else for a change rockin the rental car. It was nice for once to not be the guy racing everyone.
