Went though my luggage and stole sunglasses right out of the case I keep them in. Left the case for me at least!

Fuckinfuckers!

Rant over.
 
I carry anything worth anything in my carry on. Glasses, scripts head phones ect. Easy pocketable stuff.

Call the Oakley Police. TSA sounds like a good gig if people have to have reciepts for everything they ever bought. ..sorry man.
 
TSA is a complete joke. Originally brought in to replace unreliable rent-a-cops. Now, due to budget cuts, they are going to outsource the jobs to rent-a-cops. So all we did was create a government agency to manage something that the airports used to. Great job, government.

Airport screeners being nationalized was a knee-jerk reaction post 9/11.
Do you feel safer because the person looking at your drivers license and boarding pass as you get into line is an employee of the federal government?
There's an argument for certain minimum standards being defined by a federal agency, and perhaps that agency performing compliance audits, but it's certainly possible that the private sector could perform an equally mediocre job for a lower price.
 
My wife had something similar happen a couple years ago. They took a pair of sunglasses and some jewelry out of her luggage. She ended up calling the airline. They looked in to it and it ended up being a problem with the baggage handlers and cut her a check.
 
Good thing you bought them from Andy and he had copies of the old receipt!
I gotta remember to buy all my cool stuff from him ;)
