Trying to help a friend find a place to get his projects completed.

Hello,

I don't post on here much, and I haven't in quite some time but I think this is probably the best place to find the recommendations I need. I have a friend of mine at work who is looking for a shop or mechanice to finish up some work on his cars. He has two kids and another on the way and simply doesn't have time to finish them up. I have to kids of my own so I have not been able to help out either.

Anyways, here is what he has with what he says needs to be done:

One is a 67 Pontiac GTO. This car sat for a number of years before I started it and ran it last year. As was expected, the carburetor is gummed up, it needs a tune-up and the timing maybe off. There are also a few leaks and minor maintenance issues. Also to note, the points in this car have been replaced with direct ignition.

The second is a 65 Mustang with a top-end swap needs to be finished. New cam, intake, 4-bbl carb. This one needs to have the push rods and lifters adjusted as well as a tune-up and final touches.

So if you guys could throw out some recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. He lives in the Royal Oak area and would prefer it to be somewhat close to there.

If you can't find anyone, I can take care of what you need. I sold my race car and not racing this year, so I have time. I am very familiar with both cars and have had more than one of each....Each car would have to be dropped off at my house individually. I can finish one up and take care of the next one. I live in Troy and have a large heated garage.....I work cheap....

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded here and via PM. I forwarded everyone's contact information ahead to my friend. I was able to provide him with some good leads and hopefully he will be able to get the ball rolling on his projects very soon!
