Unfortunately white is hard to catch the reflection on with the camera but I did a 2-step polish on it this weekend and put the mud flaps on it for winter. I was in a hurry so missed the tire shine.

also id like opinions on the step bars. with or without?? I took them off to clean them up and the rockers as well.

very sweet! i love your truck and i want one just like it. its perfect if you ask me. only thing im indefferent about is the step bars. but its your truck if you like it then good! very clean truck man!

thanks! yea i am indifferent about them too. I am probably going to put them back on. If anything they cover up the frame hang and protect from stone chips i guess.

Bad ass truck! I like the side steps. Though I also like the look of the bug deflectors on the front of the hood so you may not want to take my advice.

EDIT- If you painted or got white vinyl fill ins for the GMC emblem in the grill it might look pretty cool too.

Truck looks great!!

unless you or one of your passengers NEED the step bars, my vote is to leave them off

Truck looks great Joel! If both my arms were broken I'd ask you to detail for me! your car and truck always look great! as for the step bars, i always like them off, makes the truck look taller. but they sure help keep your seat bolsters from disintegrating!

Looks sharp man, white trucks FTW!

I like the steps off, but they actually don't look too bad on either :dontknow:

thanks for the compliments everyone

Yea i thought about doing white too but decided on black because I thought it would look good with the anzo smoked light housings i am planning on getting [eventually lol].

haha thanks man. I love detailing cars. Its a great sidejob when i need some extra cash too but I limit myself to that - as well as it pays, detailing full time sucks! Good point about the seat bolsters. Im tall enough I dont need them but most people are not.

Detailing full time doesn't suck, just depends on where you're working  i do agree though, i got into it because it was a hobby of mine and i just kept improving my techniques. I am also just OCD with cleaning in general

no no, i love the work but my back doesnt... haha.

OCD'ers unite!

the only time my back really hurts is if i'm leaning over a hood rubbing out the center for a long time. my knee's are what really gets me, (no gay innuendo's needed  ) as i'm usually up and down a lot from panel to panel or crawling all over the inside doing an interior.... regardless, OCD is a bad habit!

Since Matt is posting here i guess i also owe detail express a plug - they tinted this truck two years ago and it is still 100% flawless.

Looks great!! I think you should find a beater for the winter and park that truck.
That is what i plan on doing eventually - it will be a project truck someday. Ive got 2 semesters left so i will probably pick up a beater when im done. The only thing that really worries me is another driver hitting it. Other than that its in good hands, Ive denied every little attempt it has made at rusting so far haha.

is that the one that was for sale?
i wish i had the money

yea it was. I sold my other car instead, and very glad i did.

Yea i think the problem is that I am just so freaking tall lol. I admit the shop I worked at sucked though.

That is one clean truck. I love clean old vehicles. Most of those are all rusty nowadays.

I like the look without the step bars, but for getting up and down everyday I would put them back on.
