trans problem help

I have a 92 chevy 1 ton with 4l80e trans burnt up,I had one from a 94 chevy 1 ton van that worked when pulled 2 years ago(its had fluid in it and was in garage whole time)I put it in the truck it goes in gear moves just won't shift all plugs are connected,fluid is full,is there a difference between years or something
 
does it take off in low or 3rd?
2 wl drive I assume....
check engine light on?
Both speed sensors (input & outut) plugged in? Wires in good condition? No corrosion? No bare wires?
Spedo working?

Seems like third,check engine lights been on,both sensors are pluged in and speedo does work,wires are a little crappy lookin but in tact,yes 2 wd

Check fuses. To take off in low, both shift solenoids have to be energized. If your taking off in 3rd, you most likely have no power. Stay out of reverse! No power to the ecm spikes line pressure to max. In reverse-pressure is boosted and can see very high line pressure spikes. Early 4l80e's had multiple reverse part failures caused from high line.
 
Ok ill check all fuses in the mornin when I get to the shop,and as far as the pm rich as soon as I'm done fixin this crap it your buddy,thanks again
 
Well fuse was good,what about the wires on the big plug,anyone know wich ones to check for power ,just so I can narrow it down
