I saw the trailer this morning aand was going to ask if you broke something, but it looks like that was the game plan. Glad the weather let up long enough to let you out.

Dam thats sweet car

Thanks.

Bad ass looking truck.................the vette's cool too.

This was the first time I towed with it and the truck performed great. We ran at 75-80mph and it was rock solid. I really love the integrated brake controller vs the Prodigy that I had in my last truck. I even slept on the back seat Saturday night and it wasn't too bad.

Is that an alum trailer? If so, I bet it felt like nothing was back there.

What's a rotor cost for the vette?

The problem is that now that Mark bought the C6Z he's going to use it for himself so I won't be able to borrow it anymore.

Stock replacement rotors from the parts stores run about $52 each. Just a few years ago they were close to half that. Seasoned (lightly used) rotors perform better and last longer at the track than brand new ones so I'm going to start hording people's take-offs when they upgrade. Most people who just run on the street replace them way too early and leave plenty of life in them.

Can you heat cycle yours or something? Drive a few hundred miles? or is more like thousands of miles? Forgive me as I only know 1320'

Yes, thousands are better. I make it a point to run them on the street for a while before I run them on the track. It's cheaper and easier to get them from someone else who thinks that they're all used up.

Nice pics Matt. Sorry I didn't get over to watch on Sunday. Girlfriend had to put their dog down this weekend and she came back early. I'm going to try to make it to the event at Gingerman at the end of June.

what about a brake upgrade? probably has already run through your mind. i am just curious why you would rather keep replacing rotors as opposed to running something stronger

It's in the back of my mind. However, a decent two-piece rotor will cost 4-8x what a stock replacement costs and only last about twice to 3 times as long.
