Toyota 4Runner hubs

Anybody done these before. Ordered a set of front wheel bearings for a 4Runner. To my surprise they came "separated". Meaning the spline and stud portion are not included on the new hub. So how the hell do I separate the old one without destroying it so I can press the new hub on. Damn foreign truck.

I got the whole hub assembly out in 10 mins. But it's the separating of the hub from the bearing assembly that's killing me. Here is a pic of the new bearing, notice how in the picture the one on the box has the hub with studs. I have to use the old one and press it on this bearing. image.jpg

4wd should not come like that, but parts config might have changed making it different now. It should use the axle as a 'bonding' point whereas the 2wd hub's would require the two piece design and a large nut on the back side pressing the two piece design together (which again, you should not have to deal with.) The seal-ring that goes in between the hub and axle for the 4wd style is needed to be replaced, otherwise the new bearing would then become susceptible to premature failure.

It does show it separated, but as you see, it can be slid out. You may need heat and a BFH.

Yeah I don't know why it comes like that either. Never seen one like this before. These were direct from Detroit axel too. So I had two more auto parts store order me new ones bc the said they would be complete and they showed up the same way. Thanks for the help
