who makes the strongest torque box re enforcements?? its a 90 lx hatch and im gonna need something real tough for the upper and lower boxes

If you want them done right you should have them welded up. If you are just looking for a bolt in kit, UMI makes a pretty sturdy set.

Call Reiters and let them weld up that sheetmetal.

I just had my torque boxes welded up and frame connectors installed earlier this week at Team Z. They did a real good job!

i definetly want them done the best way possible so ill probably be calling reiters. they did my moly cage so i know they do good work

if you have a welder than weld up all the seems. want to go one step further cut some 1/8 inch plates and build your self some battle boxes. i welded my seems as well as installed through floor subframe connectors. stiffened the car up considerably. the frame ties slide inside the frame rails and go just about all the way to the lower control arm bolts. that should help to keep them from tearing out as well. i am waiting untill i put my cage in to do a battle box style reinforcement because im going to run my cage right into the torque boxes. here are some pics.

I put wild rides battle boxes in my lowers and installed their S-Box for my uppers and had it tied to my roll cage.

At what point is this required. I have heard about it but never given it much thought.

with you putting down 500 or whatever it was I WOULD NOT race at the track without it. I wont spray my car at the track until I get reiters to do my frame ties and torque boxes

Reiters is the place to go... Excellent work all the way around... The Autorama cars show the quality of work...
