Overall I think Detroit Zoo is better.
 
Toledo Zoo does the christmas lights every year... Last year I missed it... I regret it...

G/f got me to goto it one year... I didn't want to go but I did it for her... Best thing I agreed too... It's a badass zoo at night with all the lights...
 
I went last Summer. It was good...but a lot of the sections were under repair so it was a bit underwhelming.
 
I like the fact that everything was real close, I didn't like that they had fencing in front of you. Detroit has half wall instead.

The weather might had somthing to do with that the animals were sleeping or just not there.
 
I never liked going to the zoo because those poor animals are being kept in captivity when they should be in their own area of the world enjoying their lives.

I mean really how would you like to be put in a cage and be on display and have ppl throwing nuts at you all day?

Alot of the animals were/are injured rescues, or were born in captivity.
 
I have had a season pass there for the last 2 years. Kids love it !! Henry Ford / Greenfield Village season passes also FTW
 
I heard the Toledo Zoo is awesome, but I have much love for Detroit so I go to the Detroit Zoo exclusively. A lot of my friends go to the Toledo Zoo and they say its awesome.
