To anyone with a V1

Mine is a 1.8, never sent it back for the POP update, not planning to either. Had it since mid '02
 
If your detector works well with Ka, thats all you really need to worry about. I dont know of any new laser technology out so no big deal there. But as far as the pop thing, I dont think any depts around here use that stuff anyways. Its pretty much all digital Ka radar and laser guns.

for you guys debating about whether to upgrade; I just had the pop feature turned on by Joe (duke) because I didn't think I needed it. a few weeks ago.

Milan PD hit me with pop today on the way to the dentist in town; and i have seen van buren running radar on 94, and have gotten pop warnings as well.

possibly one of the smaller depts down by Joe's house as well; cause he says he gets hit with it on the way to work.

HOWEVER, for the money (200ish); I would just go buy a new passport 8500 x50 and use the V1 in a seperate car. F that much for an "upgrade".
 
i've been doing a lot of reading on radar detector boards i guess the bel rx65 stomps the v1. and the bel sti almost impossible to detect with a radar detector detector.

Why does that matter.......radar detectors are not illegal in Michigan.
