Title Body in White?

You can title and plate just about anything as long as it meets the states requirements. It is call an assigned titled or assembled title as stated. I is basically a stevemitrz mustang or whatever you want to call it. They give you a vin and you have a whatever. You just cant call it an existing car.

Does it have to be inspected or anything?

Yes there is a whole process. It has been a few years since we did this but basically you have to get it inspected by the state police they look for turn signals, headlight, seatbelts, and etc. Call the sec of state and ask what the process is. It is the same if you bought a stolen recovery and they stripped the vins.

I built a 31 Ford streetrod in the 70's and did the assembled title thing. It wasn't too bad to get it titled back then. The cars didn't need heat, defrosters or A/C. Just needed 4 wheel brakes, turn signals and a few other things......I still have the title because the car was stolen.......
