I have a set of tubed and screwed slicks for my 5000# truck.
what pressure should I run? I don't want the rear end to get all squirrelly at high speed due to soft sidewall on a heavy truck

What front tires do you have . That will have a lot to do with the feeling down track. I would start at like 15psi or so

I went to a radial eventually but I would start high and see how it goes. Try 20psi, if that doesn't work AT ALL, drop to 15. I always liked that method of launching on the street and seeing if that rubber laid down was even across the tread width. Good luck! Get a camera in someones hands too! We all want to see some motown muscle.
