tire clearance on fox

My car came with 8" rim and has 28x11.5 et streets. If I can remember, you SHOULD stay within 2" of rim size. For best footprint 10" rim on 10" tire. CORRECT??

My car has a soft sway under hard throttle. My guess is the amount of bubble in the sidewall.

SOO, IF I do get a 10" rim, will I then need to trim the front wheel lip for sure or can u adjust the control arms for clearance??

Thanks!!

well, i just put 275/50/15 dr's on my notch. they're pretty tight, even after pounding the inner wheelhouse in at the front of the wheel. i'd bet a 10 would def. take some "adjustments" to fit decently.

tight

Love the mopars...PS.. If ANYBODY loves cars..Do a little research and look at howmuch development MOPAR put into their cars.....waaayyyy beyond the other 2 companies!!!! And I love all brands!!!!!!! Gotta love the fox though!!!! It was my era!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody make a good 10" x 28 drag radial that works and doesnt look like those ass bfg's
that tread looks retarder on the side edge... Did they think we we're going to race against the curb??

you can try nitto nt-555r. in a 275-60-15. i think jegs has them for around 160.00. or probly even better would be to run a sportsman pro in a 28x10.5x15 for the same price...

right now i have a 295-50-15 on a 10" wheel on the back of my car with no modifactions. even fit with the tail pipes...

the et street that you currently have has 8.5'' Tread Width. I ran these on an 8 inch wheel and then switched to the drag radial and plan on going back now. Why not just get another set of what you have?

that is why I'm asking.

anybody else??

the car has a brake and a 5,000 stall. I'm pretty sure most regular tires won't work.

If you have a 5k stall I would stay away from drag radials. They will just get shocked and spin.
Eventhough a 10" rim will help your sway I would look at tire pressures and your suspension. Shock settings? Sway bar? Antiroll bar?

It has mega bites and all that with adj shocks. It drifts a bit. My old 8" goodyears on stockers use to do the same..

I heard about the anti roll bars tearing mounts on street...... hummmm

I just disconnect one link when I drive on the street. I don't have bracket on my lowers for a stock style sway bar so it can get a little hairy. I recommended the ARB for the track though...Night and day difference.

video time

Probably right...I might be correcting spin / bad suspension with too low of tire pressure.
