The Tigers have given up

Pretty much have to, if we want any hope to having a contending team after the next 3-4 years. Lots of bloated contracts to players in the twilight of their career. (JV, Migi, VMar)

Cabrera is batting .252 with 14 homers this year. He needs to go too. Too bad nobody will want to take him and his $30-32 million a year contract through 2023.

roll tide!!!

The Wings should be doing this too. I have MLB Extra Innings and I'll be watching Verlander's start on Tuesday.

Had to sit through both games with family from Ohio yesterday :emb: You may have seen us on the pre-game broadcast. 21151591_10154686081582212_8507351290951730029_n.jpg

I think they gave up before this season even started...

I think they gave up in 2014.
I'm not a big baseball guy, but with the awesome starting rotation we had, they have had -ZERO- relief and jokes for closers. It seems like it's been that way forEVER!!
I'm sure someone can pull the stats for "most blown saves" over the last 5 years and find the Tigers at or near the top of the list.

I can tell you they have blown 18 leads this year from the 7 inning on. Look at the standings and see where they would be. 3 of those games where against the Indians.

The all time record is 2-2 vs bama. Why do you only look at the last time they played? It was an entirely different coaching staff.

So do you really think if they played -Bama- today they would have a chance ? Hell they struggled against Florida's second string ! 2 interceptions for touchdowns ! Second String !

I wouldn't say they struggled by a long shot. Would they beat Bama today? Likely not. But they'd be a whole lot more competitive than they were under Hoke.
