So, some of you may have heard of our racing series, the Thunderdrome!, before.
If not, here's the skinny: Back in 2010, my comrade, Ben Wojdyla, and I restored an old velodrome in Detroit using our bare hands, a Bobcat and about 4,000 pounds of concrete. This racing series was an afterthought that blew up into a crazy successful thing that has since toured the state and is going nationwide in 2012. We're running this company as a Not-Just-For-Profit, which means we're rolling all proceeds from Thunderdrome! events directly back into the rebuilding and restoration of the Dorais Velodrome.
Our massive season finale is this September 11th, 2011 at the Dorais Velodrome at Mound Road and Outer Drive. We're also taking that day to celebrate the death of that rat bastard Bin Laden on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
We currently race mopeds, scooters, pit bikes, go karts, minibikes, geared bicycles, fixed gear bikes and mountain bikes.
We hope to see you out and racing. Racers pay just $20 to register online and $25 at the door. Spectating is FREE -- FOREVER! If you've been to one of our events, you know the spectators get down on the action as much as the racers do.

Cheers.
