Well, today is Monday which makes my bad week an official seven days...
It started last monday when I got two flat tires on the way home from school. Ended up that the tire pressure sensors on my avalanche had siezed to the valve stem caps and caused them to crack...aluminum and steel dont mix. anyway, I put my 24's on the back of the truck and drove to see buuhbyeguy at his dealership in hopes of getting this shit fixed that night, as 24's in the snow is not a good idea. Well they fixed all four and $260 dollars later, I am back on the road...not a problem because they needed to be fixed. Now enter tuesday, I am driving to brighton to pick up some groceries and I get another flat. I swap out for the spare and go home. Turns out that the guy at hamilton didnt pull the valve stems through the wheels. So I take off every wheel, break the beads with a bottle jack and a door jam, and reseat the valve stems...four hours later due to the improper technique, they are fixed, which I just paid to have done the day before.
Wednesday and thursday were bad due to getting a couple of tests back that I would have liked to do better on but friday is a much better story.
Friday, I head out to my storage unit to pick up some parts for Darkcyde as well as grabbing my sleds to get them into the shop for pre-season service. I drive around the back of the building to go and grab my four place enclosed snowmobile trailer, which has 5 sleds in it, and see that it is not there. I immediately go to the office and ask the manager if he was fucking with me and had to move it cause someone couldnt get in their spot to which he replied "No, I thought you took it out of here, it hasnt been here for a week" I damn near had a heart attack...He begins to call the police as I am on the phone with my insurance when the other guy that works there says to me, do you have a haulmark? Which i do, and said that there was an enclosed trailer way in the back of the lot that wasnt supposed to be there. I cross my fingers and drive to the back of the lot. Sure as shit it is my trailer. They cut all the locks off and moved the trailer to the back. What they had planned on doing was putting my sleds in a different trailer and driving past the cameras like they were leaving with their own sleds, when, in fact, mine are in their trailer. Well they didnt realize that you cant get to my trailer locks without a plasma cutter or grinder and that a simple set of bolt cutters or hacksaw will not suffice. Consequently they never got inside to steal my stuff, just did a number on the locks and sides of the trailer. Atleast my stuff was in there though cause I would have never been able to replace 5 sleds and a trailer for the amount insurance would have given me.
The weekend was not too bad, just the usual fighting with the girlfriend and such, but that is an everyday occurance.Oh ya, and my buddy left the door of my truck open for about an hour in the pouring rain...
Now enter today, rounding out a full week.
I get out of class and decide to get my truck washed. I go to the "Lake Effect" Car wash in Brighton because I was in the area. 8 dollar wash and Im ready to go...right? not the case, at the end of the line the fucking wind protecting doors on the drivers side of the wash fail to open, running right over my truck. I get out of the wash and look at my truck immediately. The damn doors scratched my hood, front fender, mirror, both driver and drivers rear passanger door, and the quarter panel. looks like someone ran sand paper right over the truck...i felt like I had just got fisted...so i file a complaint and incident report with the guy at the wash and he says that the owner will be calling me later. Now's its 6:30 and I still havent heard from him. Im pretty furious right now...I keep all my cars in pristine shape and this sort of stuff just burns me.
I really just needed to vent, but on the same note, if anyone knows how I go about accruing the cost of the repair of my truck from these guys it would be helpful...or if anyone is an actual lawyer and wants to help me out that would be great too...
