Well here she is! The 72' Mach One! Its actually my dads car that he has been working on for the past two years. He got it as a reallll basket case! Did the body work this winter, did the motor last winter....

Motor is a 351C with some bumped up compression/ a little bit of head work...and some other little things here or there. Car is also lowerd a tad too, it was looking realllll 4x4 when it wasnt.

As for color, he isnt too sure yet. He is thinking a deeper bluish green which was the original color of the car...idk..he isnt sure yet.

Anywho, here it is in its primered state. He has other rims coming soon for it. As of now, its reallll dusty and dirty, looking for paint, and deffinatly needing some new wheels with a much stickyer tire!

Enjoy the primer'd 72'! Oh, and dont mind the trans lines hangin down...haha...those are now put back up!

Its still a nice car... But that has to be the worst looking generation of Mustang... JMO

Actually i agree with you! I used to not like it at all...but i grown more and more used to it! I actually like it now. But, i do agree, they were not the most pleasant mustang generations!

Thanks everyone for the good words. He was real pumped to be able to take it out and drive it around the block a little..

Cars lookin good Chris. I thought they looked cool in the factory mustard yellow with black mach stripes.

Glad to see he got it on the road Chris

Its been road worthy for a little while now, it just didnt have a full exhaust on it. He bought some pipes, bended em' up and welded everything together. Now that it had the full exhaust he said he was down to take it around the town...even with no plates and insurance...haha..He was just pumped!

I actually think thats a neat color combo too!

This is the original color the car was...something he is keeping in mind. Those are also the wheels he is buying. Although now he is thinking of something different with a drag radial...haha..idk

I dig it! The angle of that rear glass is CRAZY!

I agree! Its the first thing i said when i got in the car! The angle along with the wing = You cannot use the back window...haha

Friend of mine has two 73's, one is a mach 1, and the other is a convertible. Both white with black stripes. I know he has tons of parts for them(71 to 73 same parts). Let me know what you guys are looking for and I can ask if he has them

Wheel Vintiques sells those stock wheels in bigger and wider sizes. I think it would look great resto-modded.

Sweeet! Thanks! I was thinking the same thing...ill pass that site on to him!

The 71' to 73' are badass!!!!!!!! Our family had a 71' with a 351C 2V back in the 70's and mid 80's till' I blew the motor on my permit. You got a sweet ride. Hope to see it one day in person.

Very nice.

If you want something '70s-riffic, paint it the same color as my grandma's (original owner) '71. You'll have to deal with guys calling it Elanor, though.
