The 6.0 LS 1992 Notchback Thread

Well, Im finally starting to get the ball rolling on my 92 Notch. Pulling all the stuff outta my GN and making its way into a lightweight Fox. Cant wait.

Anyone done this yet? any pointers?
 
if you want to be different now a days you have to put a small block ford in a mustang... mustangs are better... even the chevy guys want one
 
yeah I hear ya, but this thing is going to be just a drag car. Ive got the lincoln for street cruising, plus I probably wont have a license for a while, so ill have plenty of time to do other things. THe GN needs alot of work. In this economy, I can buy myself a clean running GN for the amount of cash needed to get mine to the condition Id want it. As a racecar its fine, but as a clean showcar, its just not financially realistic to dry to redo the GN. It needs more in body panels than I paid for the Notch, not to mention a repaint, plus with no power brakes or steering its a pain to drive on the street. Thats what most people dont understand when telling me their opinions
 
are you gonna buy new stuff? the stock stuff can work but AJE makes a kmember and engine mounts for the swap

You're making sense from a money perspective and they're your cars, i say go for it. Let the haters hate.
 
Motor plate would be much easier for him...
I dunno, it becomes a hassle when i have to squeeze in a big T6 turbo and intercooler piping

Ive been talking to Team Z and theyre supposed to have an LSX swap K member developed shortly. The hassle will be getting the 4l80e to fit. nobody makes a crossmember for it, Ill have to get a th400 one modded to fit

to be honest i havent decided, it runs good as is right now non-IC. Ive been debating putting in alky and just calling it a day
