The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro Is Less Ugly and Offers an Affordable V-8 Model

gotta admit, thats awesome for the price....do these versions still have the OPTI spark issues that my 95 had? :)

So the Camaro V6 is cheaper than the Mustang V8.....isn't that the way it should be? I don't understand their marketing scheme here???

The Camaro LT1 starts at $34,995, a $3000 drop compared to the current 2019 Camaro's cheapest V-8 model, the 1SS, which starts at $37,995. It also just undercuts the cheapest V-8–powered Ford Mustang, the $36,450 GT. The Camaro LT1 is essentially the same as the Camaro's 1LT trim level, but with the 455-hp V-8 stuck under the hood. It also gets LT1 fender badges, the vented hood from the SS, and black bow-tie emblems. A lesser wheel and tire package, with 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires that are the same size all around, ensures that the LT1 won't upset the performance hierarchy, as the SS still reigns supreme with its more aggressive, staggered-width summer tires.

v8 camaro.

They are actually adding a trim level for the Camaro - The LT1 not to be confused with 1LT - that includes the LT1 engine. It is basically a Camaro version of the old LX 5.0. Sounds pretty cool to me!

With the crazy price tags of new cars (brand new or slightly used), I have been taking a lot more interest in optioned down "driver" cars. I bought my 2016 Mustang with cloth interior, no nav/giant head unit etc.

I think manufacturers are starting to realize that not every person wants to lease/buy a 60k car.

Yea, who wants a seven year loan? I think the LT1 model is going to be a great sleeper. With the inevitable incentives, or even supplier pricing they should be close to $30k. Not a bad deal for that level of performance. I wonder if they took out the big brakes and the heavy duty cooling system?

Nice. That's how I'd probably buy one if I were to buy a new Camaro.

x2. Looks better and great performance for the money. They had to do something. Sales still behind the aged challenger, and the challenger doesn't even offer a convertible! Heck, if you took out convertibles the challenger might even be outselling the mustang.

Bingo Mike. This is how I've bought all of my performance cars. My scat pack is a zero option car, and was $36K, while most on dealer lots were $45K. This new camaro model definitely has me thinking. Good move GM.
