That's gotta cost a pretty penny, racing in the rain

Dont they do tires changes to something a little less.... well slick? lol on one of the incar vids it shows the tire and it looks just like a regular road slick you would think some treads could have helped that situation out alot
 
I know they are made with safety in mind to absorb impact... but those tihngs disintergrated on impact.... 1/2 that car was ripped off (TVR), the Saleen had the side tore of. and the front tire and suspension sitting on the track.

That's insane

Yes, they run rain tires just like F1 does. But even at that speed in the rain. Tires will only do so much.

So, how many millions just got toasted?

the body just shatters but notice the cage is fine
