THANK YOU Veterans, For My Freedom

I didnt see anything so I wanted to take a second to say THANK YOU to all Veterans today for my freedom. I know I think of our Veterans DAILY, and not just once a year like most people..... You dont have to support the wars, but IMO as an american you MUST support the soldier.............. Freedom is paid for in Blood, and we forget this fact all too often. Especially scumbag fuckwads like those funeral protestors- the very person who's funeral they are protesting has paid the ultimate price for THEM, THEIR COUNTRY, and that very right to protest, freedom of speech they are abusing the shit out of...... I am a WWII history aficianado- It bums me out thinking very soon all WWII vets will be gone. THe youngest are in their early 80's..... (except for maybe a few who lied about their age).... So if you ever get a chance to talk with a WWII vet, take advantage of it. Many STILL will not talk about i to this day, but listen to those who will. They are a national treasure vanishing all too fast........ And then theres the 'Nam vets, who instead of the ticker-tape parades of WWII, got spit on and called baby killers.... They never got a proper thank you, so give one if the chance arises. And dont forget, while we are cozy at home/work sitting at our computers, there are plenty of guys/gals in some third-world shithole getting shot at and roadside-bombed so we dont have to fight here.....

Well said. Regardless if they've even seen war, or if you don't agree with the war, these guys are armed and ready to protect us in any event.

Veterns and active military personel are truely the best of us and I am deeply thankfull and respectful of you guys. You rock.
 
Ten years service, here. I have family lineage going all the way back to the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and every major conflict in Americas history, right up to my current service. It's tough to even imagine what our ancestors of previous decades and centuries went through to get us to where we are now. To all of my brothers and sisters that have fought and died, have served or are serving like myself, thank you and it's an honor to be in your company.
