Well I swear to everyone who reads this that I'm LUCKY to have a house to live in tonight!!!!!!! Off to work this morning as usual and a doctors appointment after work, leave at 5:45 AM home at 7:10 PM. Unlock the door and POW natural GAS hits me square in the face !!!!!!!! Oh S--IT what the heck went WRONG drop everything and walk over to the stove and TA DA my Teenagers must have bumped the dial onto the BIGGEST burner of the stove and it was spewing gas! I'm not very happy with them but accidents do happen and I have explained to them how this accident could have been a disaster. THANK GOD my intuition said to turn off the heat !!! :spank:

If nobody was in the home I have to say that it was kinda stupid to even walk in there at all. static electricity from your feet could have ignited it.

Im super happy for you that all is well and that you and your family is safe. You are one lucky person.

I understand about static electricity and maybe it was stupid but my boots were on tile in the kitchen and all I thought was to air this place out!

yeah, dont get me wrong. Glad everything worked out but im not sure if id have the balls to walk in there.

Simply flicking on the light switch can creat enough of a spark to set it off.

As soon as you smelled, you could have called the fire dept, had them go in and check for the source. They would have vented the house with a fan too. That's what you pay taxes for. ;)

ALL is good 8 fans going for about 2 hours still gonna run the fans but what a way to come to something thats was not expected

I didn't turn anything on for the reason of ignition
