TBI to TPI swap

I found a TPI intake, painless wiring kit and computer and am wondering what kind of hell I am getting myself into if I try to convert a 87 TBI 350? What type of things might I overlook?

Biggest obstacle will be fuel line plumbing. You will have to change the lines from the frame to the fuel rails.

Whcih TPI ECU did you get ? If you have a MAF 122765 ecm your gonna wanna throw the MAF away and upgrade to a 1227730 ECM which is Speed Density and get a custom prom made up.

I have done alot of these types of conversions if you want call me tommorow.

If you're running a 700r4 you'll need the TV cable and bracket. Make sure you have the right ones.

It is a full size 87 Jimmy that I picked up, so it is a 700r4. I don't know if it is mass air or speed density. I didn't buy it yet because I wanted to figure out how much of a pain it would be and if it would be worth doing. I'd like to get the cruise and everything else to work.

definitely worth doing, TPI is the intake trucks should have come with, tons of low end torque
