Talk to me about F-body suspension...

:ohnoes: getting the bug again.

Thinking about redoing the entire front end of my car. Brakes, K-member, control arms, shocks, springs, etc, etc.

I figure, no sense in half assing it. If it's going up on stands, it's coming down a different ride.

Talk to me!

Isnt this thing for sale? wtf?

yeah, then I drove it few times last week and fell in love again.

Still for sale, always for sale, but I'm done letting it sit. This winter the suspension will get totally worked and I'll actually drive it next year.

Just make a drag car out of it. Have fun. you only live once and this world is bound to end very shortly!

Nah, drag car just turns into a money pit that you're never satisfied with. I know once I get this car handling and stopping, and then a Vortech, I'd never mod it again.

Dunno if times have changed or not, but a few years back people seemed to like Sam Strano's stuff for making an F-body handle. Used to make matched kits with revalved Bilsteins and such. Call/email them for a package to suit your specific needs. www.stranoparts.com

The best street/handling shock out there is the Koni. They are not cheap. If you want some better handling for spirited driving, maybe a set of swaybars should be in the plan. $379 from Stranoparts for a matched set 35mm hollow front and 21mm rear. Poly/solid LCA's and solid/solid panhard really improve handling aswell.

Unless you are planning on road racing it i'm not sure i'd bother going that far though. Maybe re-bush the tired front end with a poly kit or something. Otherwise I'd just put the blower on and leave it lol.
