T5 questions

I blew up the T5 in my 94 GT.

I'm going to throw a stock trans back in.

I know the bell housing and input shaft are longer in my SN car than the fox trans. How hard is the input shaft to swap out? Will the fox trans work fine on my SN car with all the sensors and such?

Also, I checked out a 99 V6 T5. Would that trans work? Bell housing, input shaft, speedometer gear, etc?

I also noticed it was made by Tremec, and my 94 GT trans was made by Borg Warner. Which trans is stronger?

i was wondering the same thing, i got a gm replacement borg worner out of an 86 camaro and was wondering if its stronger then a stock tremec

Just rebuild your 94 trans, kits sell on summit for about 250 bucks the are all kinds of step by step directions with pics, just google t5 transmission diagrams.

So could a retard like me, rebuild my own trans? Lol

So your saying the borg warner is stronger than the tremec?

I exploded my last trans due to no lift shifts at the track, so yea...

I just rebuilt my 4l60e without ever tearing a trans apart before ever and everything works just fine. i've never done a manual but everyone says it's easier than an automatic. I'll be rebuilding my t5 here in a couple weeks cause second gear is blown.

ZTremec, but not by much, they both are weak

Rebuild kits are not the expensive parts, cluster shaft and speed gears are.
