Trying to help a family member clean out their garage of about 50 year worth of car parts so im trying to start with the newer stuff first. I found what i thought was a mustang T5 trans due to the shape of the front of the case where the bellhousing mounts. however Ive had a difficult time identifying this trans the tag on the case is rusted and reads 135?-21? also the input shaft is a 26 spline leaning me to believe this is a S10 trans?

Remove the tag & lightly sand it. Lot of online charts on how to identify it exactly. The input shaft, speedometer pulse generator are early GM. The tail housing has holes for a torque tube (fbody) or counter weight, shifter (what I can see of it) looks like s-10

I'm still inconclusive on the tag but from Google pics on internet s10 t5's look like the shifter is in the middle of the housing. Is that maybe only early s10 and Sonoma? Is it possible this might be a v6 trans and not a 4 cylinder?
