My 95 GT has a T5 and its having some minor issues. I believe this is the factory trans as the car has never been beat on really and it has 53,xxx miles on the clock. Im sure the clutch has been changed at some point.
As it sits, the clutch doesn't slip at all, engages and disengages fine, but the Throwout Bearing has the "fast chirp" going on when its just barely depressed, but Im not too worried about that right now.
My issue... When coasting in 5th gear, and randomly in 4th you can hear a buzzing sound coming from the tunnel/shifter area and you can feel the buzzing a little bit in the shifter itself. It has a Pro 5.0 short throw in it and running Royal Purple Synchromax trans fluid.
The only other little hiccup it has is it feels notchy and a little stiff shifting from 4th to 5th and also if you try to bang 4th pretty fast it will grind, but if you take an extra half second it engages perfectly fine just like all the other gears.
A friend of mine said this could possibly be a linkage adjustment issue, but I wanted to get some more opinions.
Thanks, Alex
