switching panels from fuse to breaker

Anyone do this? What is the going rate for an electrician switching the panel over to breakers.
125A panel, start to finish.

House I am looking at has fuses, and needs a few outlets installed to be a little more safe.

what he said^^^^

ask about arch and ground faulting...double grounding rods...some average joe is not going to cut it :)

I've done it before myself.
I'm researching this for the seller to see what the cost is.
There are some things that need to be done to the house before buying.

$600 - 1200 depending on site conditions and panel brand/options. Not upgrading the service to 200A will save you some cash as long as the existing service entrance is OK. If it were my house tho, I'd just upgrade it while ur doing it. SquareD QO is the way to go if you want the good stuff, but will cost more. Should consider a whole house suppressor too. Def pull the permit.

AFCI & GFCI will not be required if all you're doing is a panel/service replacement. But if you start touching branch circuits...
AFCI is actually no longer required in MI for bedroom branch circuits (assuming it's a 1 or 2 family dwelling).
