Strongest adhesive/liquid gasket

to use in the intake tract? Something that won't harm anything down stream if a bit flakes off. I've got some Permatex orange and black RTV, just wondering if there's anything better.

I've always used Ultra Copper on all of my intakes. I used it on stock stuff, and I even used it on an old H,C,I 5.0L with a P-600B Procharger making 12lbs of boost. No trouble down the line. Handles a lot of heat.

Thanks I'm looking for adhesion more than actually creating a gasket.

Sean I did see some Google results mentioning the GM stuff, it's stickier than Permatex RTV then?

I'm guessing this is what you mean?

Copper spray here too... Also use it on oil pan stuff and sometimes teh head gaskets depending on what the motor is and how the deck and head surfaces look..

Headers get high temp rtv I havent used gaskets in since high school gave up on them stupid things.

Intake rails along the block get black rtv normally.

swing by a GM dealer and tell them you want the Gray RTV in the tube. Last tube I saw was blue and gray not straight white. If you just want the gaskets to stay put use yellow weather strip adhesive.

Actually I've been fastening something inside my airbox-behind the filter - using Permatex or just silicone and it's been doing okay, but wanted to ask if there was something that'd be safe and a stronger adhesive.
