Stripping paint from wheels?

I have a set of wheels with some poor quality paint on them, I took a wire brush to one and the paint came off pretty easily to show the original finish underneath. does anyone know of another way to strip the paint easily? I was thinking about sandblasting them but is there any other way?

maybe theres a chemical stripper? but that may ruin the original finish also

The factory finish is baked-on, it would take a lot for it to come off. Even if it takes it off, that's fine, just want a good base to paint over. I was thinking of a chemical stripper too, just dunno what to use.
BTW, nice sig:thumbsup:.

have you tried some paint thinner? if its a crappy paint then the thinner should make it come right off. oh and thanks for the sig comment. its a great movie

Aircraft stripper will work in your situation. Spray on gasket remover also takes paint off fast as hell. Are they aluminum or steel?

aircraft paint remover works good but and wear gloves and use it with the door open it has nasty fumes. that should strip it down to the bare metal

Thanks, they're aluminum, have plastic centres. If possible I'd prefer to only remove the topcoat, which of those is less powerful? I tried paint thinner, actually it was varsol, it only thinned it out, didn't strip it off though.
Thanks guys!

^Thanks, I picked up some generic paint stripper, says it'll harm plastic if left on so I'll try to be quick, lol.
