Street Racing in N.C.

you are such a tool. next time a cop comes up to you, i'd like to see you tell him that you hate him with every bone in your body. and how would he be sorry? you going to beat him up?

:bowrofl: :jagoff:

it's not the cops job to interpret the law. it's their job to enforce it. don't like it, do something to get it changed, instead of running your mouth on the internet.

just a thought. :icon_idea

last time hemi challanger and i were in a court room together, i followed the cop out into the hallway and told him to go fuck himself. for writing a bullshit spectator drag racing ticket. does that count?

back in 01 when i lived in N.C, they did have drunk driving stings. they'd set up a road block and check everyone. sucks street racing down there changed. back when i was there, i got caught in my camaro MANY times, and was let off with a warning or just told to slow it down and take it out of town and race on a non crowded street. i never really spent any time where they are talking about, it was about an hour and 15 minutes south of me. this is the reason i am really thinking about building a track only car though...

Bill, don't build a track-only car. I plan on being on the street another 20 years and I need you!!!!!!

"One Mustang had a racing engine in it"

          What idiots!!!

But he added that he bought his 1994 Mustang two years ago and souped it up to make the engine sound bigger.

To make it "sound bigger?" WTF does that mean?

I can't believe some of you idiots think the cops were out of line. I get pissed off as much as the next guy when I get a BS ticket for 5 over the speed limit, or when I was younger and was harrassed for "hanging out", but that's a hell of a lot different than illegal street racing.

People can DIE, get it? Put a bunch of tools in a 500 HP car and head down a public road at 130 mph and see what happens when a soccer mom in a minivan cuts over in front of them. If it's your ass that flips a Mustang over six times and ends up taking a long nap, fine. But when you smash into someone else minding their own business it becomes everyone's problem. Just because your life is worthless to you doesn't mean mine is to me.

Spend the eight bucks and go do some runs at Milan, or man up and head out to a real track with me. I'll race you for pinks...no cops, no speed limits.

The only thing I don't agree on is them taking your vehicle and selling it. I just can't agree on taking something someone has worked for.

No, that is the point of taxes. The negligable amount of money made on tickets, etc pay for law enforcement.

And WTF did you call MxRacerCam a towel?

would that also apply to the redford twp police dept that gives out more traffic tickets than the city of detroit every year:laugh:

Did most of you RETARDS who complained about the hanging out part really read that article?? They weren't busting people for hanging out in parking lots (they received complaints from people but they didn't do anything). The racers used the hanging out in parking lots as a meeting place before going to race. The cops didn't break this up because they wanted to do surveillance and track the cars to where they were racing. Also, the sting lasted over a couple months. This means these IDIOTS kept meeting in the same place over and over to race. The racers got everything they deserved in my opinion.

Take it to a fucking track if you don't like it, which is what you are supposed to do anyways. I wouldn't want to be driving and have some dumbfuck racing with another car and hit me or someone I know.

And if these guys ran from the cops that'd be stupid. The cops have been watching them for months. They have all the information on them they need not to have to chase.

No your a towel. I'm not running my mouth, and I'm not bullshitting. I wont be kicking anyones ass. And I voted today so I count that as trying to change things.

If your stupid enough to take such a low paying shit job and put your life on the line to enforce laws you dont agree with, then your just a stupid fuck. Laws and cops exist to generate REVINUE for the government. Government is big business.

And you sir, are an ignorant douchebag (if we want to get on the name calling subject...and why the fuck are you calling someone a TOWEL??? Did you mean tool? get an education please).

If there were no cops to enforce the laws then it'd be anarchy and it seems to me that you wouldn't last long with your ignorance. Like GeosRide stated, the money from tickets and stuff goes to the city/county/state to pay for law enforcement and other things.

To MikeG and HemiChallenger: A guy was running from the police because of warrants or something in MI and killed all 3 people in a car he hit. He's now being charged with MURDER. You are an idiot if you run, not only could you die, but innocent people could die. You want to go to prison for life or die over potentially losing a fucking car? That's stupid.

Im just as guilty as the next guy and I have no room to speak because I have been pulled over officially 35 times now, but this goes back to when I was 16 when you start applying for a Drivers License is that Driving is a privelage and not a right, I dont do anything in my car that im not willing to pay for, if I race then im aware that I might get a wreckless or a drag racing ticket or even worse and god forbid hurt someone or myself. Selling peoples cars is a little stupid, anything for a dept. to make money I guess, suspend licenses or max fines is better then losing a 40k car any day, I feel really bad for those guys right or wrong!
