Storing Fuel and Fuel Jugs...

Just remember what Mom and Dad said..."just because everyone is doing it, that does not make it right." We've all heard that saying, and transporting high octane racing fuel is no different. All those sexy colored translucent fuel jugs sure are pretty to look at, but by far the best jug for transporting racing gasoline is a non translucent black ... See Morejug. Gasoline should always be stored in containers that will not allow sunlight to reach the fuel. Many racing fuels are photo sensitive, or sensitive to light. This essentially means that exposure to ultraviolet sunlight can damage the fuel, most often degrading octane ratings.

Never thought about that... Pretty good info...

certian fuel containers can leak off high ends right through poors in the plastice and crappy gasket eals. just as big a problem. the vp 5 gallon cans are great containers.
