They did some work on a set of Windsor heads I had on my '86 back in the day.

Power-to-featherweight ratio With five gallons of fuel, the turbocharged Impala weighs 3,232 pounds. That's essentially the weight of a new Corvette ZR1, which has a stellar power-to-weight ratio of one horsepower for every 5 pounds of mass. The Impala's output, however, equals one horse for every 1.58 pounds of car.

danm!
Thats a Ls 454 with a ZR1 bolwer? F';n awesome!

I am scard with direct injection coming in the LT1...

440 actually. LSX block split a bore at 454". I've been in that 72 Chevelle, as of last summer it was making 850hp/900+TQ with a stock LS9 cam. Idled like glass.

THAT'S what happened to that GM engine.. I remember the articles on it.. Cool

That setup was developed by Thomson. Brian does a lot of work for GM Performance Parts. The car was built by GM at the proving grounds. Spectra Werkes (sp?) Did the carbon doors fenders decklid and hood. Theres also another 96 Impala with a LSA/6L90E in it floating around, same paint job but stock bodied, and one of the first 96's off the line that year (vin 0007).

if you think thats cool, you should see whats up stairs that they wont show you. I bought my block from Ralph the engine builder. it was burried up stairs. the things that GM throws away and sends out to be crushed will make you want to cry.

No it does not bother me anymore to throw things away! Work in milford in corvette and rear drive cadi.
We throw tones of shit away all the time.

Oh yeah, seen it. That's the consolidated stock, the stuff that made the move from the old shop.

Brian is pretty much the only guy I would trust my stuff 2 when I needed machine work. they are ALLWAYS on target with their machining. there are some pretty darn good machine shops here in nasty car territory. so i'm on the hunt for a shop down here :)
