Starter wiring, 1966 Impala....dumb question, HELP

I dont have, (nor can I find really) an accurate wiring diagram.


I need to know, as far a the wiring for my starter goes, should the ground wire be from the starter motor to the solenoid, the block, or the frame?

battery pos goes to the starter, battery neg goes to the block, and a smaller wire off the batt neg goes to the body, and a cable from the engine to the frame is a good idea

I cant remember how the rest of the power feeds are, that might still use the horn relay as a junction point to power everything else


if you are still running points, there will be a yellow wire going from the I terminal on the starter to the coil positive, and the purple crank wire goes to the S terminal
