Stang taillight lenses

How do I remove the taillight lenses of an 85 mustang. Also, I am in need of both taillight lenses. Mine are blacked out and I've had two people tell me the brake lights as difficult to see.
 
Good idea. Is there a trick to remove the lenses? How are they attached.? These blacked out lenses gotta go. A lady had to panic swerve around me yesterday. Thanks
 
The lens is attached to the housing with the same type of adhesive that's holds your windshield on. Tug on the lens and you'll see it.

Ya, not sure what exactly holds them to the housing but it's some kind of silicone/urethane/butyl. If you start at a corner and slowly work them they will start to come off. Complete lights are fairly cheap and easy to find, probably your best bet, I probably have a set if you really get stuck locally.
 
If you can sneak a guitar string between the housing and lens you can wiggle it from one end to another slowly then pull the cover off
