SRT/8 Charger suggestions....

Ok, I have a buddy who just bought on 09 SRT8 Charger before the winter. He wants to do a bunch of go fast stuff to it. We have been looking around on-line for stuff but it sure isnt like sbf shoppin'. There isnt to much out there bolt on wise for these. Do any of you guys have or know of certain combos that work on these cars/motors..

He is already going to get full exhaust
throttle body
torque convertor
Diablo tune

Is there a local tuner/ builder that has some sort of program for these cars?

Your nearest GM dealer might work out a trade in on a G8? :icon_lol:


I have no clue who works on those around here. I'm sure Procharger might make a kit for it.

I havent driven a G8 yet but i have driven his Charger and it surprised the shit out of me. It feels weird to go (kinda)fast in a big ol' car like that..:hugegrin:
 
I dont think he want to go forced induction quite yet..I know they have heads, cams and such also but they are waaaay expensive to just throw them and hope for the best. Hopefully someone knows of a package that works..I will let him know about Livernois too...Thanks
 
lxforums.com lots of guys on there, we had a guy with a 6.1 with all the bolt ons you could do and procharger and that thing was a beast! snapped the factory axles like nothing $$$$. I think grip tuning is more accessories then anything.
 
Call Stenod or Livernois. They both work on them. Other than that read up on the forums. If it was mine and I had money I would just bolt a SC on it and be done.

the stuff for the 5.7 was crazy money, i could only imagine how much the 6.1 stuff is
 
I wouldn't recommend forced induction.

The major uphill battle still lays in the tuning of these vehicles. Find yourself a very good, trustworthy tuner before you do anything significant. A cam and a torque converter goes way on those cars.

As already pointed out, LXforums.com is your best bet for knowledgeable and experienced LX-platform owners.

Yeah that is where we are at right now is finding THAT tuner...

Stenod did the tuning on my car. I highly recommend it. Got quite a boost in power with a tune, CAI, and Exhaust.
