So who here has dealt with Identity Theft?

Some lowlife south of 8 mile got my name a SS# and turned on Comcast in Jan, never made one payment and had service terminated in April.
Now it gets back to me that I owe Comcast $867.00 and I'm wondering how big of a mess this is gonna be to fix.
So far I've notified the credit bureaus, made a police report and I'm about to do the FTC online complaint.
The cool thing is Comcast gave me the service address so the cops were happy I knew that much. (right near 8 and Van Dyke)
So far it looks like Comcast is the only place my ID was used but who knows how bad this could snowball in the coming months, years etc if my SS# is out there.
I'm wondering if there is anything more I should do like maybe get lifelock or something.

This happened to my mom a few months back, but the house it went to was on Westphalia in Detroit. She had to supply Comcast with copies of her driver license and Social Security card followed by a written narrative, then they fixed her credit report.

Dave. yea, 4 months. They said they wanted the police report and a FTC report. it's not on my credit yet. I only found out cause I was going to order Comcast and dump WOW and found out about it.
